it's powerful when lived experience inspires action. my personal struggle with mental health, recovery, and healing brings a deep level of empathy and commitment to the services ARS provides.
ARS mission: advance mental health care on an individual and systemic level by fostering a profound understanding of mental health, care, recovery, and healing. this starts with the individual and happens one step at a time. the result is a more meaningful and effective approach to care which improves individual outcomes.
about
the social shame and lack of access to appropriate care in mental health can be overwhelming and exacerbate symptoms. ARS helps clients move through the different stages of recovery and healing by providing guidance, encouragement, and practical tools to manage challenges.
there are many facets to mental health which can be confusing and intensely emotional.
ARS provides individualized guidance and services tailored to those ready to take a significant step towards healing while working to advance mental health care on a comprehensive level.

the inspiration for ARS is deeply personal. over years of overwhelming experience with acute PTSD and suicide (including hospitalizations at multiple levels of treatment), I realized the urgent need for care that does not exist in the mainstream mental health industry. this realization came from my own struggles and eventual understanding that recovery requires more than just treatment modalities, doctors, therapists, or pharmecuticals. recovery necessitates a holistic approach that includes guidance and continuity of care from a wide-ranging support community. my experience has given me an understanding of recovery on an individual level. it's also given me the motivation to cultivate progress in care.
PTSD changed who i am and altered the course of my life in an instant. i had to shift how i live, how i parent, my personal goals, career aspirations, hobbies, even how i spend my free time. it's been a devastating experience of profound loss. i struggle every day and my recovery is a constant, disciplined practice. as i learn to adapt to PTSD and manage my symptoms, i'm able to accept my reality and let my limitations guide me. this shift in mindset has helped me make tremendous progress in healing and recovery. i have a different perspective on my life and a new sense of self.
ARS is my mental health. this work allows me to support others on an individual basis while also connecting to a broad network of people who have the same goal: intentional evolution in mental healthcare.
PTSD guides my actions and decisions. managed PTSD provides meaningful direction and is a superpower when combined with recovery, healing, and community.

i was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for 18 years. during that time, i also had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles and industries including marketing, fitness, coaching, entrepreneurship, health care, and real estate. these experiences required me to develop a profound capacity to learn, an extensive skill set, and the ability to connect with a broad spectrum of people. my lived experience is the foundation of antidote recovery support.
