the services antidote provides are based in my personal struggle with mental health, recovery, and healing. antidote is centered in consent and harm reduction and operates with compassion and empathy.
antidote mission: advance mental health care on an individual and systemic level by fostering a profound understanding of mental health, care, recovery, and healing. this starts with the individual and happens one step at a time. the result is a more meaningful and effective approach to care which improves individual outcomes.
about
there are many facets to mental health that can be confusing and intensely emotional.
accessible "care" can be overwhelming, exacerbate symptoms, and do harm.

the inspiration for antidote is deeply personal. over years of overwhelming experience with acute PTSD and suicide (including hospitalizations at multiple levels of treatment), I realized the urgent need for care that does not exist in the mainstream mental health industry. this realization came from my own struggles and eventual understanding that recovery and healing require more than just treatment modalities, doctors, therapists, or pharmecuticals. recovery necessitates a holistic approach that includes guidance and continuity of care from a wide-ranging "care" team. healing happens in connectionand reflection through shared suffering. health is rooted in community. my experience has given me an understanding of recovery, healing, and health on a profound level. it's also given me the motivation to cultivate progress in care.
PTSD changed who i am and altered the course of my life in an instant. i had to shift how i live, how i parent, my personal goals, career aspirations, hobbies, how i spend my free time. it's been a devastating experience of profound loss. i struggle every day and my survival is a constant, disciplined practice. as i learn to adapt to PTSD and suicide and manage my symptoms, i'm able to accept my reality and let my limitations guide me. this shift in mindset has helped me make tremendous progress in healing and recovery. i have a different perspective on my life and a new sense of self.
antidote is my mental health. this work allows me to support others on an individual basis while also connecting to a broad network of people who have the same goal: intentional evolution in mental health care.
limitations guide my actions and decisions. managed limitations provide meaningful direction and are a superpower when combined with recovery, healing, and community.

i was fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for 18 years. during that time, i also had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles and industries including marketing, fitness, coaching, entrepreneurship, health care, and real estate. these experiences required me to develop a profound capacity to learn, an extensive skill set, and the ability to connect with a broad spectrum of people. my lived/living experience is the foundation of antidote recovery support.
